ALL ABOUT DEPUTYSHIP

Deputyships

If the time comes when a friend or relative loses the necessary capacity to manage their own affairs, whether it be physical or mental incapacity, we are able to offer assistance. If a Power of Attorney is not already in place and it is not possible to make one, it may be necessary to apply to the Court of Protection to appoint a Deputy, who can deal with that person's affairs on their behalf. A Deputy is often a close family member or friend.

At Butterfield Legal, we will assist you throughout the whole process in applying to the Court of Protection.

For more information please call or email us for an informal chat and to make an appointment.
